Abstract: Objective To explore the diagnostic value of neutrophil CD64 index (nCD64 index), C-reactive protein (CRP),interleukin-6 (IL-6) and procalcitonin (PCT) levels in viral and bacterial respiratory infections. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 104 patients with respiratory tract infections treated in the hospital from January 2023 to January 2024. According to the results of pathogen tests, they were divided into a bacterial infection group of 46 cases and a viral infection group of 58 cases. Compare the levels of nCD64 index, CRP, IL-6, and PCT in patients before medication. Draw receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves with bacterial infection as a positive result, and analyze the differential diagnostic value of nCD64 index, CRP, IL-6, and PCT levels, both individually and in combination, for bacterial and viral respiratory infections. Results There was no statistically significant difference in age and gender between the two groups of patients (P>0.05). The nCD64 ind
