Abstract: Acute lung injury in sepsis is the earliest and most common complication of sepsis, and there is still a lack of targeted treatment. Starting from the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, the lungs and the large intestine affect and correlate with each other in terms of qi, blood, fluid, meridians, and pathological transmission. In sepsis, acute lung injury is often accompanied by disturbance of the intestinal microbiota and damage to the intestinal mucosa, and the pathophysiological processes of the two are intertwined. Studies have confirmed that Shengxue Tongbian Granules has the effect of maintaining the integrity of the intestinal mucosa, preventing the translocation of microflora, and thus improving acute lung injury. Based on the theory of lung and intestinal treatment, this paper deeply analyzes the theoretical basis of Shengxue Tongbian Granules in the treatment of acute lung injury in sepsis, and provides new clinical ideas for broadening the treatment of acute lung injury in sepsis with traditional Chinese medicine.
