Abstract: Objective To evaluate the effects of dual task training on cognitive function in stroke patients, including global cognitive function, attention, memory, and executive function. Methods A systematic search was conducted in PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, CNKI, Wanfang knowledge service platform, VIP network, and CBM for randomized controlled trials investigating the effects of dual task training on cognitive function in stroke patients from inception to February 2024. Meta analysis was performed using Stata 16.0. Results Nineteen studies involving 1250 stroke patients (637 in the experimental group and 613 in the control group) were included. The meta-analysis showed that dual task training helped improve the global cognitive function (SMD=0.78, 95% CI: 0.29, 1.27, P=0.00), attention and processing speed (SMD=0.87, 95% CI: 0.59, 1.15, P=0.00), executive function (SMD=-0.71, 95% CI: -1.07, -0.34, P=0.00), and memory (SMD=1.46, 95% CI: 0.90, 2.02, P=0.00) of stroke patients. Combined training might ha
