Abstract: Objective To investigate the risk factors for hepatic surgical site infection (HSSI) following synchronous resection in patients with colorectal cancer liver metastasis (CRLM) and to provide a basis for optimizing surgical strategies. Methods This study retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 64 patients who underwent simultaneous surgeries for colorectal cancer with liver metastasis (CRLM) at the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2024. Patients were divided into an infection group and a non-infection group based on the occurrence of Hepatic Surgical Site Infection (HSSI) postoperatively. Clinical data were collected to analyze baseline characteristics (gender, age, underlying diseases, etc.), intraoperative variables (surgical sequence, liver resection method, operation time, etc.), and postoperative recovery.
