Abstract: Objective: To compare the efficacy of endoscopic parotidectomy through a postauricular incision with conventional incision parotidectomy. Methods:Fifteen patients who underwent endoscopic parotidectomy through a postauricular incision and 30 patients who underwent conventional incision parotidectomy at Zhejiang Provincial Tumor Hospital between March 2023 and March 2024 were selected. The two groups were compared in terms of operation time, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative drainage volume, length of hospital stay, postoperative complications, nursing satisfaction, and incision satisfaction at one month postoperatively .Results:The study group had significantly lower drainage volume, hospital stay, and postoperative complications than the control group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in operation time or intraoperative blood loss between the two groups. The nursing satisfaction and incision satisfaction in the study group were significantly higher than those in the open group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The beauty effect of the endoscopic group was better than that of the open group, and the postoperative recovery was faster, the hospitalization time was shorter, and the postoperative complications were less. In addition, perioperative optimization nursing in the endoscopic group improved patient satisfaction, which is worth promoting clinically.
