Abstract: Objective: Explore the clinical efficacy of Xuanfei Liyan Tang in treating post-infectious cough with wind-heat against the lung evidence. Methods: A total of 60 patients with post-infectious cough were selected from January 2023 to January 2024 in our outpatient clinic, and were randomly divided into 30 cases each in the control group and the observation group by using the random number table method. The control group was given oral western medicine compound methoxynamine, and the observation group was given Xuanfei Liyan Tang, one dose per day, and the course of treatment for both groups was a week. After continuous treatment for one week, the efficacy of the two groups was evaluated, and the Chinese medicine symptom scores and visual analogue scores before and after treatment were assessed. Results: The therapeutic efficacy of the observation group (96.67%) was higher than that of the reference group (76.67%) (p<0.05); The Chinese medicine symptom scores and visual analogue scores of patients in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the decline levels of the observation group were more favourable than those of the control group (P<0.05); Conclusion: Xuanfei Liyan Tang was clinically effective in the treatment of post-infectious cough and the syndrome of wind-heat against the lungs.
