The potential value of LncRNA MALAT1 in the treatment of ischemic stroke

    Abstract: Long non-coding RNA metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (lncRNA MALAT1) is a widely expressed long-chain non-coding RNA in the human genome, and is involved in various physiological and pathological processes such as expression regulation, cell proliferation, inflammatory response and angiogenesis. In the pathological process of ischemic stroke, MALAT1 affects the pathological process through multiple regulatory mechanisms, including regulating inflammatory response, promoting angiogenesis, and regulating neuronal cell death and regeneration. As a biomarker, MALAT1 has potential value in the early diagnosis, prognosis assessment and treatment effect monitoring of ischemic stroke. This article mainly discusses the biological characteristics of lncRNA MALAT1 and its mechanism of action in ischemic stroke, and summarizes its potential as a therapeutic target, providing a new direction for the clinical treatment of ischemic stroke.
