Abstract: Upper limb dysfunction is widely found in stroke survivors, which seriously affects patients quality of life. The selection of safe, reliable and stable assessment tools is an important basis for nursing staff to formulate nursing goals and care programmes. Currently, three types of assessment tools are often used in clinical practice: scale-based, motor biomechanics, and electrophysiology, which have their own characteristics in terms of assessment method, assessment format, and assessment results. Therefore, this article reviews the commonly used assessment tools to provide data and research direction for the assessment tools for patients with upper limb dysfunction after stroke.
