Abstract: Numerous studies have demonstrated that systemic vascular inflammation caused by platelets, leukocytes, and inflammatory cytokines plays a significant role in Kawasaki disease. Platelet-leukocyte aggregates (PLAs) have been confirmed to be involved in various inflammatory diseases. However, the specific role of PLAs in the pathogenesis of Kawasaki disease remains unclear. This review systematically summarizes the mechanisms of PLAs formation and the research progress in the pathogenesis of Kawasaki disease.
