Abstract: Renal fibrosis is a key pathological process in the progression of CKD to ESRD. It is characterized by tubular atrophy and renal interstitial fibrosis.Early identification and intervention of renal fibrosis is essential to delay the progression of CKD.Traditional diagnostic methods such as creatinine and urea nitrogen indicators in the blood and kidney tissue biopsy have limitations,so it is essential to find effective, non-invasive, sensitive biomarkers. This paper focuses on non-invasive, sensitive and specific biomarkers, including gene markers and protein markers, in order to provide help for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of renal fibrosis.
