  Abstract: As an important data element, medical data is a strategic basic resource for national development. The hospital has accumulated a large amount of medical information data in its long-term operation, but there are common problems in data application and data service, such as low data quality, inconsistent standards, poor data correlation analysis and high data governance cost. Based on the governance practice of domestic medical big data, this paper refers to DAMA Data Management Body of Knowledge in the process of total medical data governance and application. Through the information technology, the data model management tool is constructed to realize the management of data model naming specification, data standard control, value domain, abbreviation, data mapping, version and model quality, which realizes the whole life cycle management of data model and lays a good foundation for subsequent data governance.
