Abstract: Objiective:To explore the influence of job satisfaction on job performance of primary medical worker in China and the mediating role of controlled motivation and autonomous motivation. Methods:A questionnaire survey was conducted among 1435 primary medical workers from 75 primary health service institutions in12 counties (county-level cities and districts) of 6 provinces ,using the Job Satisfaction Scale, Job Motivation Scale and Job Performance Scale. Results:There is a significant positive correlation between job satisfaction, controlled motivation, autonomy motivation and job performance of primary medical workers in China.Job satisfaction can not only a positively predict job performance directly, but also indirectly influence job performance through three path:the independent mediation of controlled motivation, the independent mediation of autonomous motivation, and the chain mediation of controlled motivation and autonomous motivation. Conclusion:In order to improve the job performance of primary medical workers, it is necessary to pay attention to the change of their job satisfaction level, especially the adjustment of their work motivation caused by job satisfaction.Only when we take material incentive factors as the basis and non-material incentive as the driving force, can we achieve the transformation from subjective feeling to objective performance.
