Abstract: Objective A study on the application effect of feedback teaching in pelvic floor function exercise for patients with low-position anus preservation. Methods A total of 84 patients with low rectal cancer who underwent anus-preserving surgery in our hospital from December 2023 to February 2024 were selected by convenience sampling and randomly divided into a control group (n = 42) and an experimental group (n = 41) using the random number table method. The control group received routine health education, while the experimental group, on the basis of the control group, was guided to perform pelvic floor muscle exercises using a phased feedback teaching method. The compliance of pelvic floor muscle exercises, the score of low anterior resection symptoms and the improvement effect of quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the compliance of pelvic floor muscle exercise in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, the score of low anterior resection symptoms was reduced, and the score of overall quality of life was improved (P < 0.05). Conclusions Feedback teaching can improve the compliance of pelvic floor function exercise, improve the pelvic floor muscle function and improve the quality of life of patients with low rectal cancer.
