Abstract: Coronary heart disease (CHD) is one of the major diseases threatening human health. The number of patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in China has been increasing annually, but postoperative anxiety and depression are highly prevalent, severely affecting patients’ rehabilitation progress and quality of life. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been recognized for its advantages in improving anxiety and depression after PCI, including holistic regulation, significant efficacy, and fewer side effects. In this paper, a systematic review was conducted to summarize the etiology, pathogenesis, and therapeutic advancements of TCM interventions for anxiety and depression in patients after PCI.
