Abstract: Objective: To prospectively explore the chain mediating effect of negative emotion and ruminant meditation on the quality of discharge guidance and discharge readiness of patients after coronary artery bypass grafting. Methods: The subjects were 288 patients who underwent coronary artery bypass surgery in our hospital from February 2022 to February 2024. They were investigated by general information questionnaire, self-rating anxiety scale (SAS), self-rating depression scale (SDS), Chinese event-related ruminant meditation questionnaire (CERRI), Chinese version of discharge guidance quality scale (ODTS) and Chinese version of discharge readiness scale AMOS 24.0. Results: The scores of SAS, SDS, CERRI, ODTS and RHDS were (57.83±5.32), (63.31±4.97), (31.03±4.76), (116.78±9.22) and (79.30±7.21), respectively. The results of univariate analysis showed that whether patients were cared for, different payment methods and different cardiac function grades were all influencing factors of patients discharge readiness (all P < 0.05). The results of multivariate analysis showed that anxiety was negatively correlated with purposeful ruminant meditation, quality of discharge guidance and readiness, positively correlated with depression and invasive ruminant meditation. Depression is negatively correlated with purposeful ruminant meditation, quality of discharge guidance and readiness, positively correlated with invasive ruminant meditation. Invasive ruminant meditation is negatively correlated with purposeful ruminant meditation, quality of discharge guidance and discharge readiness. Purposeful ruminant meditation is positively related to the quality of discharge guidance and discharge readiness; There is a positive correlation between the quality of discharge guidance and discharge readiness, and the above correlations are statistically significant (all P < 0.05). The chain mediation model fits well, and the results show that the quality of patients discharge guidance will affect their discharge readiness, and negative emotions and ruminant meditation paths will also affect their discharge readiness (both P < 0.05). Conclusion: The quality of discharge guidance for patients after coronary artery bypass grafting can directly or indirectly affect discharge readiness through negative emotions and ruminant meditation, and there is a chain intermediary effect.
