Research progress of osteoporosis in the elderly

  Abstract: Osteoporosis in general is still an underestimated public health problem, the current bone mineral density detection rate is still very low, health care workers and patients do not pay enough attention to it, but osteoporosis and fracture to patients, health care and society bring a great burden. With the increasing aging of the population in China, the problem of osteoporosis in the elderly population is becoming more and more prominent. This review will focus on the epidemiology,pathogenesis characteristics,diagnose,clinical features,prevention focus and treatment of osteoporosis in the elderly population.
