Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effect of technostress on turnover intention of medical workers, the mediating effect of work interference with family, and the moderating effect of boundary management preference. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted among 817 medical workers in 6 third-class general hospitals in Beijing, using the technostress scale, work interference with family scale, boundary management preference scale and turnover intention scale. Results: Technostress can increase the turnover intention of medical workers; work interference with family played a partial mediating role in the impact of technostress on turnover intention; boundary management preference moderated not only the impact of technostress on work interference with family, but also the mediating effect of work interference with family between technostress and turnover intention. Conclusion: At present, the turnover intention of medical workers is relatively high, and technostress will further enhance their turnover intention through work interference with family. Boundary management preference can alleviate the negative impact of technostress on work interference with family. Medical institutions and managers should pay attention to the passive impacts of information technology on medical workers, actively relieve the pressures caused by information technology, and help medical workers to manage their borders.
