Abstract: Objective Providing reference for the adjustment of medical and medical care strategies in the assisted reproduction industry under "Three-child policy" by studying the changes in characteristics of patients who visited assisted reproduction clinics for "The universal two-child policy". [Methods] A total of 73,588 patients who visited the outpatient clinic of the Reproductive Hospital Affiliated to Shandong University from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. Taking January 1, 2016 as the boundary, they were divided into the pre-policy group (17974 cases) and the post-policy group (55614 cases). The changes in clinical characteristics of patients who visited the clinic before and after the implementation of the fertility policy were compared, and the changes in characteristics and demand of patients in reproductive departments after "Three-child policy" were predicted. [Results] After the fertility policy, the age of patients on outpatient has increased significantly, the proportion of overweight patients has increased, the ovarian reserve has decreased, the number of pregnancies has increased, and the proportion of patients using PGT technology has increased significantly. [Conclusions] After the implementation of the fertility policy, the clinical characteristics of patients in assisted reproduction clinics have changed significantly. These changes and problems will be more obvious for "Three-child policy". Relevant practitioners should grasp these changes to take and adjust medical measures in order to make reproductive medicine meet the needs of the times and develop in a more healthy and orderly manner
