Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the effects of the combination of assisted reproductive technology (ART) services and new media. Methods: Patients who received assisted reproduction from August to December 2021 were selected as the research objects, and their basic characteristics, registration methods, access to information, and communication methods between doctors and patients that were collected through online questionnaire survey. Intergroup comparison and correlation analysis were used to assess patients use of new media. Results: A total of 873 valid questionnaires were collected. 84.88%(741/873)of the patients said that the use of new media platform is more convenient for their medical treatment. There were no significant difference in satisfaction and loyalty scores of using new media among patients of different genders and ages (P >0.05), but there was significant differences between different levels of education (P=0.001, P=0.006). Correlation analysis showed that different new media methods complement each other. There was a positive correlation between reading of articles about ART and watching of live webcast about ART (r=0.602, P<0.001), using Internet hospital (r=0.34, P<0.001). Watching of live webcast about ART was positively correlated with using Internet hospital (r=0.378, P<0.001). Conclusion: The new media platform is an important way to obtain medical information about ART, improve the efficiency of diagnosis and treatment and strengthen popular science services, which can effectively improve the medical quality and promote the harmony between doctors and patients.
