Professor Liu Likun experience in Treating Opioid relatedConstipation in Cancer Patients Based on the Three Jiao Differentiation

• 摘要：晚期癌痛患者常常因使用阿片类药物而遭受便秘困扰,这种阿片类相关便秘显著影响了癌症患者的生活质量和治疗依从性。西医治疗OIC主要是对症治疗,易导致药物成瘾及降低长期功效。中医学认为,阿片类药物其味酸涩,具有强烈的收敛功效,易阻滞气血运行,这是“药毒”的一种表现。刘丽坤教授认为,癌症患者阿片类相关便秘的病机在于三焦气机壅滞,津液失布,临床从三焦辨治癌症患者阿片类相关便秘,疗效甚佳。

  Abstract: Patients with advanced cancer pain often experience constipation due to the use of opioid drugs, which seriously affects the quality of life and treatment compliance of cancer patients. Western medicine treatment for OIC mainly focuses on symptomatic treatment, which can easily lead to drug addiction and reduce long-term efficacy. Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that opioid drugs have a sour and astringent taste, with a strong sense of astringency that can easily block the circulation of qi and blood, which is a manifestation of drug toxicity. Professor Liu Likun believes that the pathogenesis of opioid related constipation in cancer patients is due to “sanjiao” block and loss of normal fluid distribution. Professor Liu has shown good therapeutic effects in treating cancer opioid related constipation from the perspective of triple focus in clinical practice.
