    Abstract: Oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy (OIPN) is a sensory nerve disorder characterized by peripheral neuritis, with its pathogenesis still not fully understood. Compared to chronic neurotoxicity, there has been relatively less research on acute OIPN. Western medicine primarily uses drugs such as duloxetine, antioxidants, and monosialotetrahexosylganglioside (GM1) for treatment. In traditional Chinese medicine, methods mainly include oral and external therapies with herbal medicine. Preliminary preclinical studies have achieved some results, but extensive and rigorous clinical trials are necessary for validation. Therefore, further investigation into the mechanisms underlying the onset and development of acute OIPN and summarizing treatment strategies are of significant importance.
