Abstract: Abstract:Objective To study the application of catheterization laboratory risk management in the interventional treatment of congenital heart disease (CHD) in children, with the aim of developing a comprehensive and practical risk management intervention plan to enhance treatment safety and patient experience. Methods A total of 120 pediatric patients with CHD who underwent interventional treatment at our center hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected and randomly divided into two groups, each consisting of 60 patients. The observation group was subjected to an elaborate risk management intervention plan, including preoperative risk assessment, psychological intervention, intraoperative monitoring and prevention, stress management, as well as postoperative nursing risk management; the control group received routine care. Complications were defined and statistically analyzed, and the mental health status of the children was monitored. The incidence of complications, mental health status, and satisfaction were compared between the two groups using a self-designed satisfaction questionnaire. Results Under the risk management strategy, the levels of anxiety and depression in the observation group significantly decreased, with the average anxiety score dropping from 56.8 ± 4.6 before treatment to 30.8 ± 2.6 after treatment, and the average depression score falling from 55.8 ± 2.5 to 31.4 ± 1.6, demonstrating a significant improvement (P < 0.001). After implementing the risk management strategy, the incidence of risk events in the observation group was notably lower than that in the control group (5% vs 15%), and medical disputes were also significantly reduced. The overall satisfaction rate for the observation group was 95.0%, significantly higher than the control groups 78.3% (P = 0.0014). Conclusion A comprehensive risk management plan can effectively reduce risk events and medical disputes in the interventional treatment of pediatric CHD, significantly improving patient satisfaction and mental health status. This confirms the vital role of risk management strategies in optimizing the treatment process, reducing adverse events, and enhancing doctor-patient harmony. However, the study has limitations due to its small sample size; future research should expand the sample scale to verify the wide applicability and long-term effects of the strategy.
