Abstract: Objective This study aims to explore the impact of discharge guidance, based on an intelligent education system, on postoperative pain management, functional recovery, and discharge readiness in young and middle-aged lung cancer patients. Methods 170 patients (control group n = 82; observation group n = 88) participated in this study. The control group received routine perioperative health education, while the observation group received perioperative health education based on intelligent information platform system. The time of getting out of bed in the early postoperative period, pain scores on the first to third postoperative days and the day of discharge, 2-minute step test and readiness for discharge were compared between the two groups. Results The time of getting out of bed in the observation group(23.65±9.33) was shorter than that in the control group(28.32±8.23);(P=0.006);The pain scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group on the 72 hours after operation and the day of discharge(P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between the two groups on the 24 hours and 48 hours day after operation(P>0.05);Compared with the control group, patients in the observation group had more 2-mst81.16±12.29)vs.74.24±17.97)(P<0.05); On the day of discharge, the score of discharge readiness in the observation group(7.02±1.01) was higher than that in the control group(5.91±1.00), and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions The health education plan designed based on the intelligent publicity and education platform can effectively improve the early ambulation of lung cancer patients, the pain of the later postoperative period, physical function, and readiness for discharge, which is helpful to improve the postoperative recovery of patients.
