Abstract: ABSTRACT Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Jiawei Sanpian Decoction in the treatment of liver stagnation and blood stasis type tension headache (TTH). Methods A randomized controlled double-blind trial design was used to include 90 patients with hepatic stagnation and blood stasis TTH who were admitted to the outpatient clinics and wards of Beijing First Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from April 2021 to November 2022, and the treatment group was treated with Jiawei Sanpian Decoction granules combined with ibuprofen capsules, and the control group was treated with Jiawei Sanpian Decoction granules simulant combined with ibuprofen capsules for 28 days. A total of 87 patients were statistically analyzed, including 44 patients in the treatment group and 43 patients in the control group, and the pain VAS score score, TCM symptom score and effective rate of the two groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference in pain score and symptom score between the two groups before treatment (P=0.661,P=0.654), and the pain score and symptom score in the two groups decreased significantly after treatment (P<0.001), and the pain score and symptom score in the treatment group decreased more significantly than that in the control group (P=0.001,P=0.014), and the difference was statistically significant. After treatment, the effective rate of patients in the treatment group (90.90%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (69.77%) (P=0.013). Conclusion Combined with Jiawei Sanpian Decoction treatment, it can reduce the pain VAS score of patients with liver stagnation and blood stasis TTH, improve the clinical symptoms of patients, and enhance the clinical effective rate, which is better than Western medicine treatment alone, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
