Abstract: 【】 Trauma is a leading cause of death and disability among young individuals, with venous thromboembolism (VTE) being a common post-traumatic complication and a significant contributor to mortality. VTE primarily encompasses pulmonary embolism (PE) and deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Due to long-term bedridden, coagulation abnormalities, and other risk factors, trauma patients face a markedly increased risk of DVT. Prophylaxis for thrombosis and timely diagnosis and treatment can significantly reduce the incidence of thrombosis in these patients, thereby decreasing mortality during hospitalization. The coagulation status of trauma patients alternates between hypocoagulable and hypercoagulable states. The ability of clinicians to accurately and dynamically assess the thrombotic risk of patients and provide timely and appropriate management and prevention remains a critical concern in contemporary clinical practice. This article reviews the pathogenesis, clinical diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of DVT.
