Application progress of recombinant human thrombopoietin in the treatment of thrombocytopenia in ICU

  Abstract: Thrombocytopenia is a common complication in intensive care unit (ICU), which seriously affects the prognosis of patients, and can be caused by serious infection, immune reaction, drug action and other factors. Recombinant human thrombopoietin (rhTPO), as a drug for promoting platelet production, has attracted extensive attention in recent years because of its potential to improve platelet count, shorten bleeding time, improve prognosis and reduce the need for blood transfusion. However, in some special disease groups, the curative effect has not shown significant advantages. The purpose of this study is to clarify the specific application effect and safety of recombinant human thrombopoietin in the treatment of thrombocytopenia in ICU patients with acute and critical illness, so as to provide reference for its reasonable application in critically ill patients and reduce adverse reactions.
