Abstract: Objective: This study aims to explore the MACE rehabilitation system for children with cerebral palsy (cerebral palsy) based on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (Children and Adolescents Edition) (ICF-CY), evaluate the effectiveness of the rehabilitation system for children with cerebral palsy, and provide more targeted and comprehensive rehabilitation programs for children with cerebral palsy. Methods: A total of 66 children diagnosed with cerebral palsy admitted to the Rehabilitation Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University from October 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects, and randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group with 33 cases each. The experimental group received comprehensive rehabilitation intervention based on the MACE rehabilitation system, and the control group received traditional rehabilitation treatment. The body structure and function of the two groups were evaluated and compared after the intervention, using the modified Ashworth scale, the Childrens Functional Independence Measurement of joint motion (WeeFIM), the gross Motor Function Assessment Scale (GMFM) and the fine Motor Function Assessment Scale (FMFM), and using the self-made family and community environment support scale. Results: The scores of the modified Ashworth scale in the experimental group were significantly decreased compared with those before intervention (P < 0.05), and the joint motion of the main joints in the experimental group was significantly increased compared with that before intervention (P < 0.05), while the joint motion of the control group was slightly increased. The WeeFIM scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than those before intervention(P < 0.05), and GMFM and FMFM scores showed that the gross and fine motor functions of the experimental group were significantly developed after intervention (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The MACE rehabilitation system based on ICF-CY can effectively improve the physical structure, function, activity and participation ability of children with cerebral palsy.Key words: ICF-CY; Cerebral palsy in children; MACE rehabilitation system
