Abstract: Objective In view of the current situation that the ability of knee arthroscopy is weak in the process of standardized training for residents, the effect of arthroscopy training based on pig knee joint in surgical teaching was studied. Methods Thirty-eight new orthopedics residents who participated in standardized training from January 2023 to September 2024 were selected and divided into group A and group B according to their initial theoretical assessment results, with 19 residents in each group.Group A received traditional surgical video teaching, while group B received arthroscopy training using pig knee joint. At the end of the training, the two groups of residents were assessed, and a questionnaire was used to investigate the evaluation of all students on the teaching methods.SThe assessment results before and after the two groups of different teaching methods and subjective evaluation of teaching methods were recorded, and the differences between groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference in the initial theoretical scores between the two groups, but the final scores of the residents trained by arthroscopy of pig knee joint were significantly improved compared with those trained by traditional teaching methods, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05), the subjective evaluation score of pig knee arthroscopy training teaching method was higher than that of traditional video teaching method(P<0.05).Conclusion The arthroscopy training of pig knee joint can significantly improve the teaching performance of resident physicians.
