Evaluation of the efficacy of Linalotide combined with PEG in the bowel preparation for colonoscopy of patients with chronic constipation

  Abstract: ObjectiveTo explore the application of linaclotide combined with compound polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder ( PEG) in bowel preparation for colonoscopy of patients with chronic constipation. Methods A toltal of 190 patients with chronic constipation who enderwent electronic colonoscopy in Beijing Sixth Hospital from January to October 2023 were selected as the research objects.The patients were randomized to 3L PEG group (3L PEG), linaclotide group ( linaclotide combined with 3L PEG), and 4L PEG group (4L PEG).The application effects of the three groups were compared. Results The total score of Boston Bowel Preparation Scale(BBPS) in linaclotide group was higher than that in 3L PEG group and 4 PEG group ，and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0. 05) .The qualified rate of intestinal cleaning in linaclotide group was higher than that in 3L PEG group（P＜0.05）,and the incidence of adverse reactions and the willingness to repeat were no statistically significant difference between two groups(P＞0.05).The qualified rate of intestinal cleaning and the willingness to repeat in linaclotide group were higher than that in 4L PEG group（P＜0.05），and the incidence of adverse reactions was lower than that in 4 PEG group （P＜0.05）.The qualified rate of intestinal cleaning in 4L PEG group was higher than that in 3L PEG group（P＜0.05）,however, the incidence of adverse reactions was higher than in 3PEG group（P＜0.05）,and the willingness to repeat was lower than in 3PEG group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Linaclotide combined with PEG can not only improve the intestinal cleaning quality of patients with constipation, but also do not increase the adversereactions of patients, which is suitable for clinical application of patients with chronic constipation.
