Abstract: Ventricular arrhythmias are the leading cause of sudden cardiac death , accounting for about 50% of all cardiovascular deaths. Radiofrequency catheter ablation is an important treatment for ventricular arrhythmias. The clinical diseases that require epicardial ablation of ventricular arrhythmias include: organic heart disease ventricular arrhythmias, such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, dilated cardiomyopathy, arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy, Chagas disease, sarcoidosis and other non-ischemic cardiomyopathy with ventricular arrhythmias, ventricular arrhythmias after partial myocardial infarction, ventricular arrhythmias after cardiac surgery, ventricular arrhythmias with highly suspected epicardial origin, failure of endocardial pathway ablation, and ventricular arrhythmias with highly suspected epicardial origin, etc. . This article reviews the related research data of epicardial ventricular arrhythmias, and discusses the characteristics of diagnosis and treatment of epicardial ventricular arrhythmias.
