Experience and Inspiration of Construction and Application of Australias National Electronic Health Record System

  Abstract: Australia has a well-developed citizen healthcare system. Insured citizens can receive medical treatment, referral and expense reimbursement at public medical institutions across the country. The state has established electronic health records for all citizens and is connected across the country and medical data basically follows medical information standards. Public medical institutions need to access the citizens’ electronic health records system in accordance with unified standards, thus realizing the interconnection of health information. The construction and application of this system have encountered certain tests and solved them. Its course can provide experience and enlightenment for the medical informationization of Chinese residents health records.
