How to use REDCap to establish a prospective cohort study database

  Abstract: Data quality is the core of clinical research. A good data collection and management system enables the research yield twice of the result with only half the effort. Traditional data collection and management methods can no longer meet the current clinical research requirements. Electronic data collection and management systems are gaining popularity. REDCap is the most widely used electronic data collection and management system for medical researchers worldwide. It is a free, easy to learn, safe, reliable, and powerful tool. From the perspective of a clinician user, this article will introduce the specific operation procedures for establishing a prospective cohort study database using REDCap.
