Research on Frontier Identification of Medical Oncology Research Based on High Quality Literature

  Abstract: 〔Abstract〕 Purpose/Significance Taking 37,927 pieces of high-impact journal document references and highly cited document references from the WOS database which published in the period of 2012-2022 as the data sample to identify the field research frontiers, assist scientific researchers in effectively selecting and tracking key research topics, and assist scientific research management decision-makers in dynamically adjusting policy guidance. Method/Process Using BERTopic to extract topics, construct a multi-dimensional indicator research frontier recognition model, and identify different types of research frontiers in the field from multiple dimensions. Result/Conclusion Proved the effectiveness of the proposed model. Identified 9 hot research frontiers, 14 emerging research frontiers, 13 potential research frontiers, and 1 declining research frontiers in the field of oncology.
