Abstract: This paper introduces the method of developing health information standard by object-oriented modeling (OOM). Method: The information model with OOM technology establishes a unified information framework for all systems. Based on this framework, terms coding and data exchange have a consistent semantic basis, which lays a foundation for semantic interoperability between systems. OOM information modeling includes three main steps: use case modeling, object modeling and dynamic modeling. Use case modeling is used to capture and define application requirements and scenarios, and describe system behaviors from an external perspective; object modeling identifies and defines static information such as object classes, description attributes, relationships; dynamic modeling describes behaviors and states such as interaction, communication among objects within the system. Results: According to the main functions of the family doctor signing service information system, through modeling and analysis, family doctor signing service data elements were defined, and the basic data set standard of family doctor signing service was established. Discussion: OOM technology is applicable to the development of various information standards in the field of health care, but different types of information standards have different focuses in the modeling process. For data class standard development, object modeling is the key point, including identifying objects and classes, defining object class attributes, and analyzing object class associations. For the development of health information standards, it is necessary to make full use of the existing resources, especially the internationally recognized or domestic information standard resources. Not all problems need to be solved from the initial modeling. 90% of the data elements in the basic data set of family doctor signing service adopt the existing national data element standards, and the remaining 10% are defined according to the national metadata standards to ensure the semantic interoperability of the standards.
